AqualisBraemar appoints new Principal Scientist
Dr Luigi Petrone has been appointed as Principal Scientist for Adjusting in Singapore.
Petrone will be based in Singapore, but will also provide on-site Expert Witness services in matters relating to coatings, chemicals and cargoes, reporting to Regional Managing Director for South East Asia John Harris.
AqualisBraemar LOC’s loss adjusters specialize in the investigation and resolution of insurance claims and commercial disputes within the energy (onshore and offshore), power, renewables and maritime industries. Key services include loss adjusting, expert witness, dispute resolution and risk assessment.
Petrone joins AqualisBraemar LOC with over 15 years of experience in the coatings industry. He is an expert in all types of coatings and cargo, including dry bulk, liquid and containerised cargoes. Petrone often combines his knowledge in coating and cargo to carry out forensic investigations into the failure of coatings caused by cargo, or contamination of cargo, caused by inadequate or ineffective coating. His duties also include carrying out investigations into the cause of explosions or fires at process plants, refineries and waste management plants, using his background in chemistry and his knowledge of various chemicals shipped as liquid or LNG and LPG cargoes. In addition to the above, he acts as Expert Witness in litigations.
